IMHO the "Incredible India" paint/vinyl work & design is a lot more eye catching and better executed than most of the other 'sponsored' trains on IR these days. About the coach identification - the curtains in the windows are a give away as well!

Yes, Akshay (Marathe) is absolutely right. This is definitely First AC. The large spacing between windows and TWO doors are typical characteristic of LHB Rajdhani First AC. The Pantry Car ( AC Hot Buffet Car as it is called in LHB Raj) is the 2nd coach to the right of the painted coach. See it has only ONE door.

I can see "Pratham vatanukulit" written on the coach, between the number 06006 and the nameplate. Also the number suggests that the coach is First AC. Quoting from http://www.irfca.org/faq/faq-stock.html#pass : "001-025 : AC first class. On NER, some MG FC coaches from 2000/2001." The pantry is the second coach to the right of the Vinyl plastered coach.

BTW, are you sure its the pantry? IMHO LHB Rajdhani pantry has only one door.

Could this be the coach behind the AC 2 tier coach in the following pic: http://irfca.org/gallery/Carriages/22112007888.jpg.html ?? The coach behind ICF coach in the pic is an LHB coach for sure.

Now that Kovai Exp has got its new refurbished Pantry Car, the old pantry car must have found its way here

Dilip, the article talks exactly of what is happening on the bridge. Now I know that the railbus is indeed a part of the heritage site being planned. However the steam loco as per the article is yet to arrive. Yes, myself and Shishir were riding on the BG passenger to Nanjangud from where this picture was taken.

Is this a photo of the bridge being talked about in this article http://tinyurl.com/3lm7xg
If true, then the MG coaches are standing on a 2 century old bridge and Shishir is riding on the New BG Bridge .

Colin, that is an MG railbus. I have uploaded a separate pic that is right next to this one in the gallery. It was being used to transport workers from Sujatapuram to the bridge and back. I am not sure if it will be permanent attraction at the location.
