Imperial-Mail-ad-1923

An Ad of Indian Railways advertising Imperial Mail, issued by Indian Railways Bureau in the Illustrated London news in 1923. The photo of the train must be in the Bhore Ghats. I am sure this bridge can also be identified by the Pune/Bombay IRFCAians. - M.Senthil Kumar

Prince-of-Wales-1890-visit-

Time table of the special train carrying the Prince of Wales during his visit to India in 1890. Though there are more time tables of different legs of his journey I am unable to scan them for the fear of destroying them as they are extremely brittle and even a touch could crumble the timetable. - M.Senthil Kumar

1923-BB&CI-Fast-local-timet

A 1923 BB&CI timetable post card giving the timings of the fast local from Colaba to Andheri. What I found unique about this Postcard was that the card was posted in the morning (postal cancellations shows 10.45AM) at ----- Road (If any of the IRFCians can help find which post office it was posted, it could be of great help) and was delivered on the same day at Bombay GPO at 1PM. - M.Senthil Kumar

Postal Cancellation on a Post Card. This is the first time I have come across an important event postal cancellation on a Post Card. Normally it is on a FDC or a special cover. This cancellation is for the inaugural run of the Singareni Express on 2nd September 1976. The cancellation is of Bellampalli post office. M Senthil Kumar

A North Western Railway button with the NWR logo engraved on the button. I have a big button as well as a small button of NWR. Again picked up from England. The amount of old IR memorabilia one can get in England is amazing. I guess it is because of the penchant amongst the English for preservation. M Senthil Kumar
