I could not ask for more! A cute mg passenger train, semaphore signals, a quiet location, and pure Alco smoke!

The blue WAP4 has a phantom-like appearance! A good sight really.

One thing unique about this train is :
It goes in the morning at about 6:30am as MAS-Tirupati Saptagiri Exp,returns by 12 noon as Tirupati-MAS express leaves for Tirupati 15 min later as MAS-Tirupati Express and again returns to Chennai at about 9:00pm as Tirupati-MAS Saptagiri Express.

Yes. It has the WAM46P trailing behind it while going towards Tirupati (the WAM4 pushes it like a banker). On its return the WAM4 pulls it like any other train.Secondly, there is generally no loco change as the trip is only about 3 to 4 hours.

But now, all WCAM3s have this standard livery...it looks good. Some WCAM3s have the two brake connector pipes in the middle intact, & some dont.

ummmm..thats not really a WGD type livery...the loco in the pic belongs 2 Ernakulam or VKSP as mostly the the fraight trains are hauled by VKSP, BNDM,Ernakulam,KGP locos from different coal minesand other places too

This is definitely for the showcase! What more could a railfan ask for? A lovely winter morning, a lovely curve (railway), a train with some special status attached to it, the approaching ghats. Man! this has all the elements!
