Neil,
BEML is Bharat Earth Movers Ltd. which is a heavy engineering industry that is alreadt into railway business. This is a mockup of the Skybus, there are sadly no working models anywhere. A working track is planned between Panaji and Mapusa in Goa.

What is BEML? And are these just concept trains or is there a working example of such trains in India?

The ladder is used to reach the upper deck of the concrete structure. Another picture in the series shows the ladder leading to the top deck. The users of the Skytrain would not have to use this ladde.

No way Sunny that that steep stairs are meant for passengers. Can you imagine any elderly person climbing that go get on the train!

Good Picture. I asume the metal stairs are for the passengers to walk towards the Coach and back. We will totaly have to stop chewing Pan & spitting. As the stuff will fall on the people below. With heavy rush it's going to be hectic.
