Look closely, you will notice that its very different from 3A's. The LHF is very narrow (as narrow as a WDS6) and it is long as a Shakti. No way on earth it can be a 3A

The numbering looks like a WDM 3A. The last WDM 3A known to be produced was 14143. The production has restarted? Even the paint scheme resembles original DLW WDM 3A. See pic here: http://www.irfca.org/photos/NarenMisc/Edraj2

On the contrary, rebuilt locos smoke much less than regular WDM2s. An improved governor design regulates the fuel being dumped into via the injectors which causes better combustion leading to less smoke.

This is the first time I am seeing a 16 series WDM-2 being upgraded to 3A.

The RTM power comes in with 2450 Goa SK, reaching MAO on Sunday and departing back to NZM only on Tueasday. On monday, it works all sorts of departmental rakes and finally on tuesday, it is towed back DEAD by an available loco at MAO. I have noticed it twice now!!!

The Ratlam power came to Madgaon with the Goa Sampark Kranti - working the departmental rake is what long distance sprinters do during the layover period in foreign territory.
