@ Vishwas ..I zoomed in on the original..It says 'Diesel Loco Modernization Works' ..so that seems to be the new name for the older DCW indeed... WOuld the 1 new loco be this one's predecessor perhaps :)

@ Kharad ... Itarsi comes to mind as holding Diesels ... Not sure if Jhansi also qualifies : CR or NCR (likely).

@ Ujjwal .. my query exactly .. I am aware they re-built them, but was not sure they make entirely new ones - and the road number is too recent to make it a rebuild.

Isn't Diesel Component Works an older name Diesel Loco Modernization Works. DMW has taken to building new locos. The info is there on the webpage itself which says "During 2010-11, DMW has rebuilt 110 locos including 1 new ALCO WDM3D Loco"
