This portion of the track was washed off in a flood early this decade. In fact they prepared a temporary line beside the embankment and ran Sealdah-Lalgola trains.

Last 4-5 times I've been to Lonavla on Sunday's. I do see a downhill EMU sometime before 1026's LNL dep at 1400hrs.

Excellent catch. Normally the EMU exchange between Mumbai and Pune pools takes place in the middle of the night.

Karan, search through the archives on the Gallery, and you might just as well spot a similar, but in that case it was a DC EMU. The snap was taken by Ashish Kuvelkar if I'm not mistaken.

Wall caught Arzan! Finally a pic of that elusive event of EMU negotiating the Bhor ghat that usually used to happen in the dead of the nights.
