The ancient'R' class wagon you refer to is actually a modern CRT wagon. The R is the return (for POH) date. It seems to be dated some 2001 or so.

A very interesting and poignant gallery of things that were. But please, the area looks overgrown, and very damp: ideal snake territory. Please be careful as poisonous reptiles lurk under such conditions. Lucky you only encountered a water snake. Very evocative gallery nonetheless.
