The WDM 2 has a Max speed of 120 KMPH. But due being over loaded they take an awfull long time to attain this speed. here in this Pic a WADM 2 is about to touch 100 KMPH.

beautifull....all i could think od after seeing the WDP4 for first time was "ewwwwwwwwwwwwww" and still "ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww"....it still looks ugly.....ewww ewww ewww ewww..sorry the pic is nice but the loco isint ...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but max speed for LHF running is reduced to 90kmph.

There is a snap that shows the long hood view from the driver's position in the cab, somewhere in the photo archives. There is also a copy on the Stormcatcher site on the IRFCA server. Also your earlier query as to the length of the safety railing is answered here.

Hi,
MLY shed has been getting some mainline WDM2/2As recently. Yesterday(25th February, 2004) i saw a MLY WDM2A pulling in to SC with the Kakatiya FP. Even the visakha has started getting a MLY WDM2A(on some occassions)

WDP4 runing LHF is not at all uncommon Raghu. It's almost as common as a WDM2 running LHF.
