At Palghat, I have seen a WDS6 heading a BTPN rake to MAQ. That train originated in CBE, and the driver was complaining about the inadequate power.

Banking it. I have seen such cases before. Does not necessarily require so much effort, therefore they've coupled a WDS-6. I think Jimmy has taken a similar snap.

The WCAM3 is dead, facing towards Mumbai & is carrying a Train Name's board on it. Behind the WDS4D twins, one can notice a train led in by a ED WDMx loco. Shantanu, at what time of the day did you click this snap? Going by your series, considering the WDP4 led 6530's arrival at PA, the incoming rake led by the ED loco is the Nagercoil-Mumbai Express, & in all probability, the WCAM3 will take it over from the ED power.
One question!! Why is the WCAM3 waiting on the through tracks, & not at the ELS?

This livery would've been much better had the blue been darker. These ET guys are crazy! :-D
