I have noticed that drivers cut off power & notch down to zero when a DM2 enters a tunnel. To prevent smoke from throttleing the passengers in the trailing train I belive . ;-))

I have a question for the many rail-nuts like me..Why are'nt any Diesel Locos ( WDM's ) used in the Bhore Ghats..I suppose a couple can be "Mued" to generate enough power like the WCG's. Is it just to prevent the pollution cause by smoke generated by the Diesel locos?? Any Answers guys..
