The Road to Northernmost Narrow Gauge Via the Desert Meter Gauge

Expecting the peak winters and foggy seasons to pass, Raj Upadhyay and myself ventured out up North to explore some smaller gauges on fastrack to extinction. We started from Jaipur-Churu sections amidst the desert in Rajasthan and ended with Pathankot-Kangra sections nestled in the Himalayas of Himachal Pradesh. It was an unexpected journey of adverse weather and hostile people, lackadaisical cab drivers and some breathtaking image. Sadly due to time constraints we could not cover both the sections in completion however we have promised to return having seen so much scope there.
