WAG-12 Electric Alstom Prima T8 twin-section (Bo-Bo+Bo-Bo) 9000 kW/12000 hp locomotive for the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor Three phase IGBT AC traction with a top speed of 120 km/h, ABB transformers and Knorr-Bremse braking system with regenerative capability. Designed to haul 6000 tonnes at 100 km/h and a starting TE of 785 kN (176,000 lbf). Built at Alstom's Madhepura Electric Locomotive Factory, Bihar. Deliveries of the locomotives are planned from 2018 through to 2028, with the first locomotive entering service in April 2018, and a total of five by 2019 (initially imported, then ramping up to 85-90% Indian made components). This is to be followed by the assembly of 35 new locomotives in 2020, 60 in 2021, and 100 locomotives each year from 2022 until all 800 locomotives are delivered. Broad Gauge
WAG-11 Electric Dual unit permanent pairing with a single cab each. Built at DLW, Varanasi utilising frame and running gear from WDG-4s with a WAG-9 body, cab and electrics. Intially classified as WAGC-4. First unit (29001) converted from WDG-4s 12011 & 12018 Broad Gauge
WDG-6G Diesel General Electric Evolution Series ES58ACmi, Co-Co, 100 km/h, 16 cylinder engine of 6000 hp. Single air conditioned cab with crew toilet. Air train brakes, air and dynamic on loco Broad Gauge
WDS-6G Diesel 1600 hp, twin Genset engined shunter with single, central cab Broad Gauge
WDAP-5 Dual Mode IR's first dual mode diesel/electric locomotive. 4000 hp on diesel, 4500 - 5000 hp on electric. Based on the WDP4D platform with additional 25kV/50Hz AC electric traction capability. Single pantograph. Weight/axle load reducing measures: fuel tank capacity reduced from 6000 to 3000 litres; some WDG5 components (cattle guard, equipment racks); aluminium air receivers, radiator assembly and intake grilles; electrically driven compressor and motor blowers; stainless steel superstructure; fibre reinforced polymer used where possible Broad Gauge
WAG-10 AC ALCO locomotives converted to run as Electric Locos
WDM-4 Diesel WDM-4 Broad Gauge
WAS-4 Electric WAS-4 Broad Gauge
WAG-6 Electric WAG-6 Broad Gauge
WAG-7M Electric Modified Existing WCAM-3 for Freight Haulage.Gear Ratio Changed From 18:64 to 16:65. Broad Gauge
WAG-9HH Electric 9,000 hp version of the WAG-9H has been classified by IR as WAG-9 HH. The first H stands for higher axle load and the second H stands for the higher power rating. The class has been allocated a block of serial numbers starting with 90001, the number of the first unit. Broad Gauge
WAG-9HC Electric WAG-9 HC is Higher Axle Load with Conventional Brake Rigging. The conventional brake rigging is cheaper and easier to maintain, weighs less. This conventional brake rigging system, after application of brakes, the axle set and wheel dismantling will not happen. Also, the magnitude of Braking Force can be obtained from the DDU (Driver Display Unit) with this system in place. Broad Gauge
WAG-9H Electric WAG-9 H is Higher Axle Load. For improving their adhesion characteristics by providing extra ballast (welded in four locations in the machine room). Weight increased from 123t to 132t and also Axle load Increased from 20.5 T to 22 T Broad Gauge
