This shot was hit and miss after taking 15 shots i got this,as i could not compose this shot through the LCD or viewfinder i just placed the camera on a cement wall and aimed it and shot,readjusting the frame over 10 times to get the loco in fully,strangely as it was a night shot nobody around the loco knew we were taking pics ,i was standing with dilip setlur there.

Hey nice picture man. Could have lowered the camera a little to get the grennery along with the blue sky. Nevertheless a very nice picture.

The steepest gradients are between Akathumuri (a small halt station after Kadakavur) and Varkala. A WDM3A will typically slow down to around 50 km/hr with a 22 coach load even at full throttle. I wonder what speed a WAP1 will go at in this section.

How many P-1's have been transferred to AJJ? I saw 22027 last night on the MAS Passenger.

Not many between ERS and QLN. I dont remember the exact figures. After QLN there is one of 1 in 70 or so at Kadakkavur. The WAP 1's can easily handle the 23 coach load in this sector

Jimmy, how are the gradients between ERS-TVC? Can this loco manage the load?
