Hello Jimmy, yes .. it is the Parasuram express, and you are correct, I did not see this train name listed in the station charts and was in fact curious as to how it arrived there. You answered that question. Thanks !

Hi Nikhil, are you sure this is Parasuram Exp? Parasuram takes the Kottayam route and not Alleppey route. But, when there is a problem in KTYM route, trains do take Alleppey route and this is very common

this is a push pull train in the sense that there is always a WAM46P at one end, to eradicate the reversal process that takes place at Renigunta. Hence the train has a drivers cab like EMU's, at one end when proceeding in one direction and on the return it wud be lead by the WAM46P.

Is this a MEMU or push-pull train wit a name given to it?

I did not get a look at the station name although you can see the banner in the picture (but at a distance) since it was just a one side pf. Maybe you are correct.

I recall seeing the WCAM 3 electrics with the two brake connector pipes in the middle intact when they arrived first on the CR,from BHEL,around 1998....this might be a brand new one....those days the livery was different.

The Kangra Valley Railway is 2'6" gauge and all trains are hauled by ZDM-3 locos, in this case #161. The scenery is stunning and the engineering of the line very impressive - well worth a visit!
