Nice shot, is WDP-4 a regular link for this short passenger rake??......Btw EMD's can be seen under semaphores at Delhi Cantt. where Semaphore signalling is still used!

If I can recall the last time IRFCA covered a mishap was when there a derailment in the Thull Ghats of GKP Express and no points for guessing who covered it. Brilliant work folks yet again

Great coverage. One must also appreciate the way railways has mobilized resources to normalize operations. I was also impressed to see the condition of crane, jacks and other equipments maintained so properly.

This arrangement is called synchronized jacks. The yellow items of top left are jacks (the protruding black parts are cylinders that move up). the panel on right is oil controlling valve chest with hand operated levers to operate the valves (Rectangular blocks) . the ports on side of panel are quick disconnect coupling that connect hose from panel to jacks and supply high pressure oil. One thing missing in this pic is an Oil reservoir and pump that pressurizes the oil to move jacks.
