Jimmy, It does look like this wagon is abandoned or out of commision. Notice the two wedges have been permanantly welded to the rails so that this wagon does't go anywhere :-) The corrugated vaccum pipe can be clearly seen.

Major accidents in Kerala involving a train slipping of the bridge: 1. Island Exp fell into the Perumon bridge. Cause - Unknown (some say a freak tornado) 2. Mangalore mail slipping off the Kadalundi bridge. Cause - the bridge was more than 100 years old. This photo decipts none of these. Anil, can you give me the date of the accident??
