Nice Map. I so much wish that you used Red marker pen for the existing line & Green marker pen for proposed line. That makes it very clear to veiw. Having visited Badnera,Candur Rly, Candur Bazar & Warud of Oranges I have fond memories. Thanks Sunny .

More on the design, the curvy nose does not seem to really fit in with the sharp edges and angular faces that the rest of the loco body has. Lets hope they did better with the interals ;-).

While the loco does look interesting in this photo, I don't really understand the neccesity of redesigning the nose of the cab on the windscreen side. The color combo could have been better but this will do for innovative stuff from IR for now

it was in the 11th march TOI, and i guess it was in all the editions. it's darkened top&left sides are a result of tape. i've taped it on to my clipboard along with two of Vikas's fab pics

Sorry for the duplicate message uploaded with another pic - it is in response to Rishi's comments and belongs on this page.
Rishi, The single track on the bottom right is the 3rd line that goes to Nagnath and meets the two older lines on the left at Jhambrung. The 3rd line is longer but has a gentler gradient, and hence is used mostly by descending freighters.

the 2860 up Touches 110 KMPH on a section haveing Max speed of 105. I guess a lil bit here and there does not matter

The WDM 2 has a Max speed of 120 KMPH. But due being over loaded they take an awfull long time to attain this speed. here in this Pic a WADM 2 is about to touch 100 KMPH.
