Nice rare picture of a Jumbo with an express train at Panvel. Jimmy Bhai, two weeks back while returning home by 2052 Jan Shatabdi, I spotted ERS Jumbo# 17859 with Sawantwadi Diva Passenger at Diva.

WDP 4 bankers were used sometime back on this section. They were removed from banking service after sometime since they could do banking duties for goods and also because using twin WDP 4's for banking meant a waste of power(which could be used elsewhere) and money for the railways .

GY WDG3A-twins-14702+14686 did the banking duties for SUPER aka Goa Exp! Till date GY bankers are specially assigned for banking all the passenger trains on the Braganza Ghats.

This is a special spotting indeed. Jumbos cannot be fitted with ACD. And locos without ACD are not allowed on KR. So, Jumbos are officially banned from KR. Then how did this fellow land up here? Great spotting indeed
