One cannot have a MU jumper cable running the length of many coaches. It would create a lag in powering and could lead to rake parting. But there is another technology wherein the loco in the middle is controlled trough signals instead of the MU cable. I think this is called locotrol.

Tried to spot these beauties on my recent trip to Malaysia. I spent about 10-15 minutes at the station, but couldnt ;-(

Oppss...sorry for the mistake. KL Sentral is for monorail. I think KL station is opposite KL Sentral right?

Do they have seperate crew here, or is the loco MU'd with cables running through coaches.

Those seem to be refregerant pipes.
That will imply that the compressor is placed seperately, probably like a car/minibus Ac, and mechanacilly driven by the main engine with a electromagnetic clutch to couple un-couple it.

I think the white livery looks refreshing than any other forms of colours. Smarter than our IR counter parts.

ISD is Iswardi. The rake seen is Maitree Express ans has a pantry coach.
