When we finally started down the Ghats, these four locos resembled a completely loaded freight train: full of equipment, food, people and other items. Never realised how much floor area was available on the footplate of diesel locos!

Lunch for Humans: note the Eggs and other provisions (to be delivered to gangmen and workers down the ghats) on the footplate of the nearby WDG3...i guess these beasts are so smooth when moving that eggs are safe even on the footplate :-)

Colin, if this is true, then why is the left loco's headlights on? I thought only leading locos had their headlights on and the bankers' lights were always off! Mysterious!

My guesses,Left one's goin up banking the rake.
Right one's just patiently waiting for the crossing with headlamps turned off.

Wonderfull!!,
This point where Poochi is standing is where the bankers give the last Roar(Grade ends) before quietly pushing the rake further into the yard(CLR).
