794 is not MLR but DHR. Also both of them are in working condition. Only they are operated on charter runs. 794 had a run as recent as Mar 09. and 738 was test run in May 09.

@ Milind - None of them are working as of now. Only NDM1 and NDM 6 operate in this area. Don't think they will be brought back into operation

Matheran Light Railway(MLR) engine No. 741 which was out of service at this time although 738 was in steam and 740 under repair.
Thanks a lot for the pic. This line too should have stayed with steam, like the DHR. I remember travelling with my parents on this line, behind such a loco, when I was a little kid
