Only two responses so far and those are on the opposite side as well!

A HINT: This is a zonal headquarter and this railway at that time was comprising mostly of meter gauge.

I bet this is Sengottai. The hillock behind is the clue. Photo of the same hillock is here:

The best picture I have seen so far on the gallery. Brings back memories of the days I spent here between 2004 and 2008.
The scene has changed very little since gauge conversion. The very same trees in the background are there even today. Navalur is today a goods yard with a wagon care facility and also has an IOC and HP depot siding.
