Could this be an example of the early colour light signals introduced? It is a two aspect signal though.

On the right side are the metre gauge platforms. The MG locomotive in background is probably a D class 2-6-4 tank locomotive.

Mr. Gupta is right! I had just copied the notes from the back of the pictures without cross-checking. Great Indian Peninsular Railway line from Bombay VT to Delhi was 957 miles and as per the time tables, 951 milestone would fall between Okhla (949) and Hazrat Nizamiddin (951 which this station appears to be). East Indian Railway mainline route from Howrah to Delhi via Patna was only 902 miles.

1530 kms (951 miles) should be ex-CSTM, and this should be somewhere nearabout Nizamuddin. The ex-HWH markers near Ghaziabad would be approx. at 1432 kms. I may be corrected.
