There are four rail motor cars still on the KSR, now numbered 1-4 but originally numbered 8-11. They were built in the late 1920s, and they are similar but not identical. #4 is the biggest I think with 18 seats. I think they all still work, certainly 1,2 and 4 run.

Thanks Ranganath for your kind words! This is one of my favourites. If you would like to use any of my photos in the showcase, I could do a higher-quality scan but the file size would be a bit bigger.

Thanks! This photo is taken about 5km below Sonada, so about half way between Tung and Sonada.

This is gr8! Only one passenger coach! Now this is what I call a 'rail road'. The train looks as if it is running off the road. Look at that chappie, he is boarding an 'off-roader' Looks more like he's pushing the toy around the bend.

Are there 4 of these? In 1992, there was only one opertaing. In any case, these are real rattlers with a loud noise. Somehow, they don't fit into the environs over there.

What looks uglier is the diesel contraption behind. Makes a mess of the aesthetics.

This one deserves a Solid Gold Showcase nomination.
