Beautiful portrait!
Excellent use of depth of field, Shanx! I really like the way you have the train just intrude into the scene. I confess I did not even see it on my first viewing, so it was a real delight to see it creeping into my consciousness.

Nicee......and the train in the background is the empty rake of the Shivganga express pulled in by CNB WAP 4 #22218 from Safdarjung station.

Must say I am impressed by your memory. This is facing ADI. Google earth shows the alignment for the bypass line. Might be interesting to take a walk there one of these days.

If I am not mistaken, this is facing Ahmedabad. Sad to see the dilapidated state of the yard. When I traveled on the MG DEE-ADI Exp. back in December of 2000, we crossed the yard at dawn and came to a halt just after it. There is an ADI bypass line that takes off just after the yard to join the line towards Sabarmati. Wonder if it's still there.

Note the shallow depth of field even at f/8 (assuming the EXIF information is correct). If the focal length is indeed 210 mm, it would have been a formidable sized equipment that you were carrying, considering that it is a D100. Did you have a photography permit, or were there just no RPF in the station?

Finally a whiff of fresh air with humans being the subject of a picture!

Wasn't there any board closeby with typical Hindi, English and local language stating the station name?
