Trip to the Satpuras..Akola-Indore

Every year, monsoon rains rock India in the month of June and stay on till September. People love it when it rains. The cool breeze and relief from the heat that it delivers, the smell of earth that raises with the early rains, the beauty of the droplets are all a cause of joy. The dry earth turns wet and green in the season and looks pretty.Had been planning this trip for the past 2 years but the trip didn’t materialise. However, Mohan Bhuyan’s excellent presentation at IRFCA’s Chennai convention 2007 proved to be the turning point. It made our resolve even more firm to do this line before it closes down for the gauge conversion. Pictures of Bharath Vohra,PVS Praveen & Shanx's were referred to before embarking on the trip so was the trip report of Mohan. We travelled from Akola Jn to Indore Jn on 12th August 2007. Great stuff! I hope Akola-Mhow remains MG for a few more years! For more impressive MG bridges, do visit NFR - particularly the Rangiya-Murkongselek line.
