To improve the passenger satisfaction, Pune Jn employed people to wash the windows of AC coach of through trains from the outside. I cannot say whether the windows were also washed on the other side of the coach or if this practice continues even today. The passenger standing in the door wanted this guy to bring his pressure hose inside and wash the loo also - but he refused as his contract was only for washing the exterior of the coach windows. The hose is connected to a high pressure water line that runs at the platform edge via a quick disconnect coupling. 1014 CBE-LTT express at the Pune Junction.

Note the coach indication in Hindi and a 'Blue' emergency window; making it easy to identify any CR rake. Varun Dambal

I like the way windows are cleaned at Ratlam (in pic by Karan). This will substantially save water. A high pressure water hose will also cause significant splashing to bother passengers, food vendors, etc.

At Ratlam Jn, uniformed cleaners are always present to quickly wash all glasses of the AC coaches of all trains. See this-

I have noticed while travelling on A.P Express/Rajdhanis at Ballarshah (mid 2007) where all A/C coach windows are cleaned with soapy water and cloth. I must mention the effort was being done on both the sides of the coach.

Seen a similiar practice at BZA Jn a couple of day back. Coach cleaning folks (Private firm) were cleaning the A/C coach windows of the 2840 Dn MAS - HWH mail. Of course, they were not using high power jets, but were cleaning it with water and cloth.
