Rarest spotting of the season!!
A Kalyan WCM-6 # 20188 lying dead at Kiratgarh station near Itarsi on the ET-NGP secion of Central Railways, my train 16093 MAS-LKO Express came to a 2min unscheduled halt here for dropping the two LP's which were seen moving towards the WCM-6 as my train started from there! (Ujjawal Kashyap)

In all probability, the loco has been sent for departmental duties in the CR ghat section south of Itarsi. That said, why would CR send an inferior loco to do duty on difficult terrain , especially when the nearest shed capable of handling this loco is ...

This is the only DC loco class that got converted to pure AC operations. Post AC conversion, the performance should be on par with a WAG7.
