Such intelligent data loggers will have plenty of memory to store events / faults / parametric readings and then relay them back to the centralised server over the GSM data link when the GSM signals are available. So, if the fault does not incapcitate...

Data transmission will be poor over GSM as Thull Ghat has poor network coverage.
