Cab of MGS WAP4 22711. These newer WAP4 cabs are adopting more and more of three-phase loco cab designs. More and more electronics prominent here.

At last some leg room for driver in conventional tap changer locos. There are some pedal switches located in that space also just like the three-phase locos. Notice the red-maroon button just above this person's shirt sleeve fold.

Anyway the assistant has much more leg room than the chief. Note the horn lever changing to three-phase type from the old piano type buttons. A mysterious lever just next to the horn lever. In all lots of changes from even the 226xx series itself, forget
