On a heavy morning when the bar was falling fast, Pune WDM-3A #17924R glides into Thivim station with the Konkan Kanya Express bound for Madgaon. Thivim is an ideal station for access to many parts of North Goa, especially Calangute, Baga, Chapora, etc. Thivim on KR, Goa. June 2005.

This means that the second platform can be used on a regular basis for passenger trains now. Earlier, this was just used as a service platform for freight, maintenance vehicles, crossings, etc.
