I woke up early in the morning to find our train stranded at a lovely station called Gill, just outside Ludhiana. Apparently, a truck had fallen off a ROB and onto the tracks somewhere in the city, holding our train up at Gill for close to three hours. The loco incharge was WDP3A 15537 from TKD. This was my first trip behind one of these beasts. ()

Gill is the first station from Ludhiana at a distance of 8 km along the LDH - Dhuri - Jakhal - Hisar line.

The early morning haze is just too good!!!
My parents were onboard Dhauladhar Exp the same day stuck at Ludhiana Jn.

True. However, we did not have any clue of when the train would leave at the time. So I preferred to stay close to where I could board the train in a hurry.

Nice, atmospheric shot. I would take these anyday, compared to a pic from a crowded big city station.

A Little more trudge down the tracks and a pic of the Pushpak with a typical village scene in winter would have been first class
