Both 3A, both have CBC couplings, both relatively new, both spankling clean, both coupled together but the difference is that one is a ICF coach while the other is a LHB one.

Alok,doesn't the LHB have 2 sets of brake pipes(each set having a BP,FP)at each end ??!!

The yellow band is to indicate that it is a CBC coach, i.e, to distinguish it from normal ICF coches.

This Yellow band is marked on the CBC coaches.

There were about 6 new cbc coaches and 2 new LHB coaches coupled and stabled together at the NZM coaching yard. No loco attached and didn't look as if they were going anywhere anytime soon.
