Bangalore-Hindupur High Horse Power Diesel Multiple Unit(HHPDMU)
parked at Bangalore Cant. This unit has two power cars and 5 coaches in the
middle. Power cars also have a passenger section. These are high horse power
units designed for frequent stops and quick accelerations on non electrified
sections.

cabin. It returning from Chennasandra sidings (where electrification ends) after delivering
a rake of coal wagons.

BEML manufactured Diesel Railbus WRB 30006 seen at Bangarpet, 60Km
east of Bangalore on the Bangalore-Chennai main line. It is getting ready
to work the morning passenger service to Kolar, a distance of 18Km. Railbus
is designed to work low density, short distance, branch lines.

The very impressive 8 lane Cable Stayed road bridge under
construction, spanning the tracks at Krishnarajapuram station. This bridge
replaces the old bridge for the Bangalore-Chennai NH4 highway. The cantinary
is visible in this photo. Construction by IRCON.
