The rails kept between the two lines are 60kg rails meant for replacing the line on the left. The track on the left is 52 kg track and the one on the right is 60 kg track!

True. Not too windy around here. The 'pan' over the road is indeed meant to catch any falling chunks of coal from the carriages.

That is a sort of rubber sealant used generally to waterproof the windscreen

It is a Bo-Bo bogie. The shadows are playing tricks. Also these are standard 1435 mm gauge bogies!

The locomotive in the front is the regular WDG3A that belongs to Gooty. The trailing loco is a Shakti that belngs to KJM Diesel Loco Shed.

Vikas, Rewari seems to be having lots of steam locos in running condition....are they being fixed for heritage runs or is Rewari the last steam bastion on IR?

If these are 'Shakthi' class WDG-3's there is a different liveried "Shakthi" as well. The livery will be that of Deep Red body with a great white streak in between, with "SHAKTHI" written in Blue. I saw it near Bgpt, but was unfortunately not fleet enough to take a pic.
