Wonderful, wonderful picture. I really liked the charging loco leading the long train through a forest of OHE structures.

the pic's good but WR should have concentrated themselves on pre-coat first, edges should have been smothened and should have tried to match the livery exactly with the LHB rake. i.e for NDLS-BCT Rajdhani

Much, much classier than anything else I've seen in Mumbai. It is good to see they have also gotten rid of the fixation with stripes that they had earlier. Think up some more liveries of this type for WCAM2 locos WR. Vivek, I've got a pic of this loco hauling BCNA wagons on the 5th of November ;-) at Virar

Vivek Manvi, thanks for the clarification. I was actually comparing this pic with the previous 2 pics where the locos have their DC pantos on, hence the confusion.

Karthik, the loco is running under AC not DC wires. The Virar-Vasai-Panvel section has been converted to 25KV AC quite a while ago!!

Looks like the loco is running on AC panto in spite of being within the DC zone. How is this possible? Can someone clarify?

This loco was a contender for the beauty contest held in Apr 2003. Note the missing grille/window on the flank, the door had been fitted there and the original door was a fitted with a full length plexiglass screen (fixed). Now it seems the modifications have been removed.
