This is a tower car, generally used for repair and OHE modification work. You can see the ladder/tower fitted to the top of the car to help personnel reach tops of catenary masts.

Yes they are used for the same purpose of OHE inspection and are classified ERU. The curvier model is the older version and the boxy one the newer version.

The latest ones have been fabricted on the 75 foot coach.
But it is still a joy to see these small ones on 25 to 30 foot length chasis. Track inspection , OHE inspection or some other inspection on the Railbus theory.

Sunny, this is a diesel-powered overhead equipment inspection car. The pantograph is not used for obtaining power for propulsion but merely for testing purposes.

Small is beautifull. I think it works on the Railbus Technology. I see a Panto up there. That Panto could lead to the famous Dew Drops Debate. That the IRFCA fans like in the winter.
