Wish there was a train on the Mumbai-Pune mainline in this frame. Nevertheless , nice capture.

Its a Hill train soon to became member UNESCO world heritage site. Its not a toy train for kids! come on ...

Khalid , the Neral-Matheran railway does have air braked rolling stock but it is not in use . There is a brakeman in every coach and they to manually apply the brakes .

The loco has air-brake system instead of vacuum brake!!Still a rarity in narrow-gauge railways of India.Though I think the Nerul-Matheran railway also has air-braked rolling stock.Maybe those sections which have steep gradients are given priority in air-brake conversion?
