A fantastic set of photos and writeup. This, like all other reports by the Pune gang is as good as being there. The writeup really helps keeping pace with the photos. Great efforts to take the pics from numerous angles and wonderful overall effort to get the pics!

Note that the front SLR is non Janshatabdi type, which means that the train was probably restricted to 110 kph that day.

Typical thriller ride associated while trying to photograph high speed trains on IR. First you have to rush, if you are not already comfortably settled and waiting for the train, and second - a split second to capture a good image, or everything is lost in a flash. I can imagine what you guys went through!
