Two BCN rakes arriving in opposite directions were halted at the Veer station. For some strange reason, the WDG 3A locomotives hauling the first train was cut and attached to the other and vice versa. Now heading back in the direction it arrived from, Kalyan’s baldie WDG 3A # 14567 makes an effort to haul the Mumbai bound BCN rake to the main line. Prior to starting with their new locos, both the freighters were run in reverse for several meters – to ensure that all the CBCs are closed, since they can be easily opened by any person with some mischief and lots of time in their hands – and there are many such people in India near the railways.
