ZDM3 #702 starts from Barog with the #251 Kalka Simla Mail. These locos are twin cab units made by Parel Loco Workshops. A total of 4 such locos are now doing duty on the KSR. ()

Shanx, interesting that there are now 4 of these in existence. Do you (or does anybody else) have further info on these mysterious machines? Such as why classified as ZDM3 - are they extensive rebuilds? If a new design then why plain ZDM3 when 3A and 3B...

These look terrible! The original ZDM3 design was so much more elegant. And its not like visibility was hampered that much in LHF operation - the loco's length was short to begin with and the cab windows were always higher than the hood. A complete...
