Day-2. The Bow Line of Meter Gauge in Bihar.

This section was once the epicenter of the Meter Gauge in Bihar along with the branch lines around Narkatiaganj. The Chhapra-Gopalanj-Thawe section. Thanks to poor roads and time constraints we could only cover Thawe - Gopalganj section. This section is like a bow and is longer than the BG route to Thawe via Siwan. The location is here

This was the first time ever in our life that we had travelled the entire day and we had not captured a single train. An extremely late running passenger from Chhapra arrives with an Izzatnagar YDM4#6468 at Gopalganj through dark clouds and semaphore gant

The passenger service to Chhapra from Thawe makes a hasty return back through a channel of water, due to heavy delays on a day when clouds hung low and were dark enough to rain any moment (Trayambak Ojha)
