This compressor is meant to be used when the engine goes on the mainline by itself. Apparently the CRS wouldn't let the engine go on the mainline without air brakes.

This compressor is meant to be used when the engine goes on the mainline by itself. Apparently the CRS wouldn't let the engine go on the mainline without air brakes.
To reverse at Alwar, the engine has to travel about 15 KM to reverse on a triangle where the line bifurcates to Mathura/Delhi.
