HGS 26761 featured in the National Geographic film `The Great Indian Railway' and survived being scrapped the courtesy of Asansol shed staff. It was revived again in for a heritage run from Howrah to Tribeni on 1999.09.19

This picture is from the Heritage Run on 19 Sep. 1999. The locomotive was prepared and decorated really well for this occasion. No gaudy paints schemes, no garlands and no sloganeering (except the one on the buffer beam that said, " Commemoration of First Train Run - Millennium Express"!)
The covered four-wheeler carried staff and their equipment and the four-wheeler tank behind it carried water.

Thanks a trillion. Is this before restoration or after? The wagon behind seems ancient but the sleepers on rails are new!
