Vulcan Foundry built prototype WL Class locomotive No. 7789 with a passenger train at Pathankot Jn. on 1958.05.10 Under the all India renumbering scheme of 1957, 7789 later became 15004. WL 15005 `Sher e Punjab' is preserved at NRM/Rewari shed.

7789 was amongst a batch of 8 prototype locomotives built by Vulcan Foundry in 1955. Four went to Northern railway and were based at Firozpur and the other four went to Southern railway and were based at Shoranur. Thanks for appreciating!
