50mm is purely the field of view with one eye. Now if we look at the world with both, it doesnt look distorted though the angle of view is greater. This is because it is wide and not Ultrawide. Similarly even in telephoto, I would consider the film...

Sid, there is no compression as on a DSLR, 70mm makes it really 112mm (Canon 1.6 Nikon 1.5). On your S5, it corresponds to 18.6mm on the Exif tag.
