The Fiat Type 090 railcars were diesel-powered railcars supplied for Indian Railways. There were 12 of them. The caption for the two photographs in the Italian article reads: "A pair of railcars, type 090, for the Indian Railways meter gauge. They are shown here being tested on the (no longer existing) Biella - Cossato - Valle Mosso, which also being narrow [sic] gauge, allowed trial runs locally. It was a small group of 12 railcars, the production of which was not subsequently continued because the type of service for which they were suitable (frequent trains of small capacity) did not develop in India".
