The caption says: "On its journey of 1604 miles from Bombay to Peshawar, the up Punjab Limited crossing Jhelum bridge one Sunday morning in 1927." Now a few questions: 1. Was the Frontier Mail called the Punjab Limited? 2. If yes, then why was the name changed.

This Jhelum bridge is still in use. Notice a road next it and it is also used even today. The train is proceeding towards Jhelum railway station. Photo taken from historical archives at Golra Sharif station, Pakistan.

I suppose this is GIP's earlier avatar of the Punjab Mail Via Itarsi, Ferozepur & Lahore rather than BB&CI's Frontier Mail
