YD 519 2-8-2 (Vulcan Foundry 4402/1929) at Pithoro Junction with MG-6, the delayed 15.00, Mondays only Mirpur Khas to Khokhropar. YD 519 was built for the Assam-Bengal Railway as their number 218. The Assam-Bengal Railway merged with other railways in eastern India in 1942 to form the Bengal and Assam Railway and the engine was renumbered 519. On partition in 1947 the engine passed to East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) and was transferred to Mirpur Khas in 1954. Neil Edwards, 30-5-2005.
